Places to Donate Gently Used Items to Extend Their Life
One of the goals of the Durham Integrated Waste Advisory Committee is to reduce the amount of waste dumped in landfills. All of us have items that we no longer need that are still useful. The aim is to pass them along to some else that can use them. This page is a collection of places that will help you extend the life of gently used items.
There are two local Facebook groups that allow you to share your items.
Oyster River Yards Sale- This is a virtual yard sale for the Durham, Lee, and Madbury area.
Oyster River Pass It On- Buy Nothing, Sell Nothing- This is a place to give away items you no longer need.
The committee also compiled the list below of local organizations that accept donations.
