How do you find out about places to meet up with friends in Durham? First options that come to mind are Facebook, Instagram, or texting, but is there something better? Two enterprising UNH students Sam and Max have developed an interesting solution called Droppn. It's an app that combines social media with GPS. Users pin an event on a map and alert their friends. The social media element allows the friends to comment and share the event. The idea helped them win the UNH Paul Holloway Innovation to Market Competition.

Sam and Max recently meet with local business members and talked about how a new community feature would allow them to target customers. Their using the Durham Community to help refine and improve their app, and providing an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to collaborate with local businesses.
