You Can Help Everyone Have a Happy Holiday

Hard to believe, but the holidays are right around the corner. Getting together with family and sharing stories over a great meal is the essence of the season. In an affluent, highly-educated community, it is easy to forget that food insecurity and hunger are a real problem. The Cornucopia Food Pantry is asking for donations to help brighten everyone's Thanksgiving and winter holidays.

They are looking to create Baskets of Hope that will distributed during the holidays. Anyone can donate complete baskets or one or more core food items. Additionally, monetary donations will be used to purchase critical supplies. Below is a checklist of suggested items they are looking to included in the baskets.

The Cornucopia Food Pantry is looking for donations to be delivered to the Waysmeet Center at 15 Mill Road by Friday, November 16. If you choose to donate perishable food items listed above, they should be brought to the Waysmeet Center Monday, November 19th. The food basket team can also make arrangements to pick up your donations. For more information, contact waysmeet@comcast.net

In addition to the Baskets of Hope, the food pantry distributes food throughout the year and seeks donations to meet ongoing needs. Below is a list of items that are always needed.

If you have any questions or are looking to volunteer, you can reach Cornucopia Food Pantry by phone (603) 862- 1165 or via email at waysmeet@comcast.net or alissawaysmeet@gmail.com
